SFSU Marketplace

For my Software Engineering class, I worked in a team of six to produce SFSU Marketplace, a buy/sell website designed for San Francisco State University students. The goal was to provide an easy and convenient way for students to be able sell their old textbooks, furniture, appliances, etc. to other students.

Visitors of the site are able to browse through all listings online, posted by SFSU students. These listings can be accessed through a search bar. Searches can also be narrowed down by categories (such as furniture, books, or appliances) or item condition (new, like new, used). After registering an account by providing an SFSU email address, users are then able to message other users through the website to connect with different buyers and sellers.

A registered user is able to make listings of items to sell on Marketplace, making it visible to anyone. A simple form must be filled out, including uploading an image of the item.

Afterwards, the listing is public and contains the picture of the product, quick description, title, relevant category, and the price determined by the seller.
